BalticTaxi team completes the finals of Mītava Open2011 championship

On 13 August, BalticTaxi team spent the final closing of the open championship of amateur mini football Mītava Open 2011 that took place in Jelgava, football stadium of Zemgale Olympic Centre.

18 teams fought to win the championship, having taken prizes in the pervious six stages of selection thus obtaining an invitation to the finals, and BalticTAXI team took the 14th place according to the total results.
In the finals our team played five games losing 3 of them, one was a draw and one was won against Ludza team which had not lost any game during the entire tournament. As told by representatives of the team Zveri/Ariols, in 16 games they allowed only 2 goals, completed two games with a draw and gave in to their opponents in only one game. The team jokingly acknowledges, “The game that we lost at the finals to the team BalticTAXI was our 13th game in a row, our dressing room in Jelgava was room 13 and the finals took place on the 13th date!” Thus our team had its satisfaction that we won the team that no team could win at the championship.
The team thanks the BalticTaxi company for the support for participation at the championship and, of course, also thanks the band Brainstorm for the organised event and the wonderfully spent time during the entire championship.
See you at the next championship!
